retrieval service from Manupatra. With either a credit card or a
Manupatra subscription, you have instant access to an extensive
array of materials on Manupatra, including Supreme Court, High Court
Judgments, Central and State Acts, Draft documents, Notifications
etc.

Manupatra? Manupatra is India's premier online research service for the
legal community. Manupatra enables legal professionals to retrieve
cases, statutes, and other documents from Manupatra's vast library
of legal and business materials. Manupatra is available by
subscription only, whereas Manupatra by credit card is available to
anyone with an Internet connection.
What types of documents can I retrieve
using Manupatra by credit card?
Manupatra by
credit card allows you to retrieve any of the following types of
documents:
Judgments/Orders
(Supreme Court, High Court, and Tribunal)
Central and State
Acts.
Central
Rules.
Pending bills in
Parliament
Notifications and
Circulars of Various Central Ministries.

If you want to
charge your usage to a credit card, you must register.
How much does it cost to use Manupatra
by credit card?

If you pay by credit card:
The cost
of retrieving documents and searching depending on the type of
document. You will always be asked to confirm charges before your
credit card is billed, and this prompt lists the price.
If your
Find request retrieves a list of documents, you are not charged
until you click a link to display a document from that list.
Print
charges are included in the cost of each retrieved document. In
other words, while you are viewing a document you can print it at no
extra charge.
How do I pay for this
service?
You pay for transactions in this service by credit card.
If you want to pay by credit card:
You can
pay for transactions with a VISA credit card. The registration
process includes supplying required credit card information. Billing
for retrieved documents and Searching results will be applied
monthly to this credit card.

What should I do if I forget my
username or password?
If you
cannot remember your username or password, click Forgot password at
the Sign-On page. You will be prompted to provide your e-mail
address and the answer to the security question you supplied at
registration. Manupatra will then send you the information via
e-mail.

Registering for
Manupatra by Credit Card
If you are using this service for the
first time and don't have a Manupatra subscription, you need to
register. During the registration process you will be asked to
supply credit card information. Charges for this service will be
applied monthly to this credit card. You will always be asked to
confirm charges before your credit card is billed. See Understanding Pricing for details.
To register for this
service,
1.
At the Home page (creditcard.Manupatra.com),
click Register.
2.
Read the subscriber agreement, type I agree in
the text box at the bottom of the page, and click
Continue.
Note the
following:
You will need to retain the username and
password you designate to sign on to the service for subsequent
use.
Usernames and passwords must be at least
five characters, but no more than 10 characters. Spaces are not
allowed.
Strong passwords are recommended.
3.
Click Continue.
4.
If prompted, select a security question and
provide an answer, which will be used along with your e-mail address
to verify your identity if you forget your username or
password.
5.
Enter your billing information to establish a
credit card account. Charges for this service will be billed monthly
to this account. You can only use a Visa credit
card.
6.
If you don't want to receive e-mail from
Manupatra, clear the appropriate check boxes for e-mail promotions
and surveys. If you do want to receive these types of e-mail
messages, make sure the check boxes are selected and also select
your preferred e-mail format.
7.
Click Continue.
8.
Verify your credit card billing information. If
the information is correct, click Confirm to establish your billing
account for this service. To make changes to your credit card
billing information, click Modify.
Once you confirm your credit card
billing information, you can use the service to find a document or
check a citation. You will also receive an e-mail message confirming
your registration.
Signing On to Manupatra by Credit
Card
You can
sign on to the service if you've registered or if you have a
Manupatra subscription.
To sign on to the service,
1.
At the Home page (creditcard.Manupatra.com),
click Sign On.
2.
Determine your sign-on method:
If you have a credit card account for
this service and you'd like to charge transactions to it,    sign on
under My Sign-On.
Charges will be applied
monthly to the credit card you provided at
registration.
3.
Type your sign-on information:
My Sign-On: Enter
your username and password
Manupatra Password Sign-On: Type your Manupatra password.
If you've
forgotten your username or password, click Forgot Password; see
Getting Your Sign-On
Information for details.
4.
Click GO.
You are signed on and can now use the
service to find a document , etc.
When you are finished using the
service, click Sign Off. A transaction summary page is displayed for
your session.
