About the Competition |
|
| |
|
Manupatra as a service provider to the legal fraternity, undertook an intellectual exercise of organizing an Annual Essay Competition for law students in 2004. We are now in the Fifth consecutive year of conducting this Competition.
The competition endeavours to encourage and promote creative thinking and knowledge of legal understanding and research amongst students. The competition is intended to be an award for cogency & novelty of thinking an issue of contemporary reference. This award is not for declamation or articulation skills.
We have been receiving a consistent overwhelming response to the competition over the years, with 1050 students from 150 different colleges participating in 2007. It has been our endeavor to innovate and introduce new elements to motivate the students through this competition. Apart from cash prizes worth Rs 100,000/- Manupatra compiles the best entries in a publication Anthology D'essai. The anthology is printed at the conclusion of the competition and a copy is sent to all participating colleges alongwith a personal copy to all finalists. |
